Many miles ago, before Samantha's career took flight, she was just a kid belting out every word of the Deana Carter album "Did I Shave My Legs For This?" in her parents' basement. Her father loved country - Garth Brooks, Reba, Brooks and Dunn, George Strait, and Shania Twain - to name a few. Samantha's mother was a lover of rock - Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, and so on. While playing in alternative/grunge bands with her three brothers, Samantha's musical ear was taking form, with many different musical inspirations.

During the live show experience, Samantha's overall goal is to "connect with the audience and relate to them through my own lived experience. Samantha Ava has been recording and releasing music for the past seven years. Prior to that, she put her heart and soul into writing on her own, doing the internal work necessary to become a great writer. "It's a struggle and a journey, but a beautiful one. I wouldn't trade the hours alone in my room writing and singing to those 4 walls. It helped to shape me into who I am today as an individual and a songwriter."

Samantha has released 5 singles and an EP titled "The Dig". The first official release, "Seventeen", hit #1 on many indie charts including internationally, standing strong for several weeks. "The Dig" was produced by the exceptional Nashville-based producer, Shannon McArthur, who is well known for his work with bands such as Dashboard Confessional and Adam Duritz (Counting Crows). The songs "I Am The Night" and "Seventeen" were produced by Darren Magierowski and Jill Zimmerman (City And Colour, July Talk).
